This Privacy Policy explains how AuRest (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use au-rest.com and its subdomains (the “Site”). We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • Usage information collected through cookies and similar technologies — with your consent — such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location (city level) and referring site.
  • Server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not require you to create an account and we do not collect sensitive information.

2. How we use information

To operate and improve the Site, respond to enquiries, measure audience trends (Google Analytics), display advertising (Google AdSense) and keep the Site secure.

Our service providers (such as Google and our hosting provider) may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle information consistently with the APPs.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and keep it only as long as needed.
